:Giraffavenous Safari

There's a theme for november and that theme is morbidly obese animals. What better animal than the slender giraffe. Enjoy.

:Butchah

Does he looks like a butcher or a baker or neither. You decide.

:Repanning Streetside

Second stage rough thumbnail for my repeating pan BG. Can't say I'm overly excited to blow this up to several feet in length. Joy :)

:Roses are... Grey

Not particularly pleased with my woman drawing skills. Fortunately, drawing is a one way street towards mastery of the art. Mind you, the journey is the kilometer equivalent of a light-year (9.4 trillion)

:T'sin the Detail

I struggle to find what it is that is wrong with my scanner. It doesn't do my lead work any justice. Perhaps the grays reflect too much of the light used to scan the image. Nevertheless, a drawing I enjoyed and felt I had captured a good representation of Carla. Has the feel of an old photograph, I find.

:Perpetual Posting

Been kicking myself for not contributing to the wonderful world of blogs for a long time now. From this point forth, I am commencing operation 'Perpetual Postage'.
I present to you a collage of a few happy accidents I've made along my quest to master the brush pen. Stay toooned to see whats coming up next!

:Reamergence

Welcome back viewer. Must admit it has been a while, happy to see you haven't given up hope.
Spent some time over the summer trying to reimagine some Norse gods.
What do ya think?

:Still Life on the OC

I have dedicated a majority of my travel time across the city, by means of public transit, to 1 line drawings of unsuspecting pedestrians. I chose these because they manage to stay almost completely still for the entirety of the drawing. Enjoy.

:Out Hunting...

Here we have a cropped version of my final layout assignment. I'm starting to better understand the intricacies of perspective using a very helpful tool: Size Relationships. Composition and line weight didn't get as much attention as the thumbnails and time spend referencing EVERYthing. Anyhow, if you get the chance drop me some feedback.

:Nightshade

A supervised attempt at capturing the essence of a simple contour drawing. Unfortunately it is incomplete but man lemme tell ya, this sheet takes time.

:Laboratorium

I present to you a layout I put together for an animation assignment we were asked to do. It's always fun to see a collage of cubes and boxes come together to create something entirely different.

:Inkits

Some permanent ink captures the intention from the very start. Or just no turning back. Results may vary...

:Life in 2D

Here I present to you the finest of my first 6 life drawrings this school year thus far. I have decided that I'd go ahead and attempt doing a study of the cloth given the abudance of time I had with this pose.

- 3:15 hour pose

:Long time no Layout

For anyone curious enough. Yes, I am in the animation program and yes, my time is consumed by its work load. I would like to share with you a couple of layouts I have been commissioned, by my teachers, to create in exchange for a passing grade (I hope...)

For anyone with an eye and an opinion I ask that you share yours with me. This here is 2/3 of all my layout experiance so I ask that you help me find what works and what doesn't by dropping me some feedback. However, a "hello" will do aswell :)

:Faceful Dosage

Some doodlers I done during 1/2hour breaks at work.
Which ironically is the same reason why posts have been lacking :P

Full time jobs you don't enjoy doing suck... When is school starting again?

:Morbio

Not quite sure what exactly this is but I believe that was the whole point. Trying to test out my concept monster making skillz. The drawing began upside down until someone looked at it... upside down and then it all came together... well, not exactly but anyhow.

Enjoy

:Espionagé

Finally took the time to clean-up my computer area and discovered my scanner buried deep below a mountain of bills.
You can hardly tell but, in the bottom right corner, a friend of mine drew a beefy espionage sort of character and what I did here was try and spice it up a little. Keep in mind that one day I'll actually be able to draw weapons ;)

Cheers

:5 Heads better than none

My scanner is a bit of a piece of kaka and refuses to scan beyond its 8'5x11 dimensions! Hence why I bring forth TWO scans of ONE page. Top two characters were shaded in the sunlight while the other were done after the sun had set. Mind you I'm rather new to shading so it might not make too many sense.
Cheers, artists and evildoers alike.

:Live Mode

Im not sure I know how to scan properly, but, nevertheless. Here is todays model drawing. It appears she had a long day when she refused to sit up for this excercise. Looking on the bright side of things... I did finish it in one sitting and there is some foreshortening action going on. Mind you I'm trying something new with my lineweight. Cheers

:Quickly

Surprise visit from Izzy. This particular model will not return for another session. Given the little amount of time (1:10) I panicked a bit...

:Many 'a' Faces

Spent some time in char.design trying to figure out what a cowboy 'ought to look like. Somehow a monstar from Spacejam showed up for an audition... he wasn't chosen.

:Midnight Express

First drawing of a gorilla... it's a long road...

First original spartanesque conceptions :)

And finally, first wasp thing... Tried mixing it up with an exotic-like tiger pattern. Did it work?

:Sketchers

Some sketch work I've done in my previous semester of pre-animation. We were working with nature in our layout class so I was thought I'd try n' draw up some trees.

:Halfman in Progress

An interesting cast to start off a new semester of life drawing. Unfortunately he was merely a warm-up for our class. I do hope to return to it and finish it off. In the meanwhile, what do you think? :)
