:Watered Down

Found a cool watercolour smudge brush. Tried it out on a portrait. Works rather well. Took about 90 minutes.

Looking good, dude! I especially dig the texture work around the chin/lower cheek area. I can almost feel the grainy quality.

There's only one part between his left eye and his nose that feels a little too harsh. It starts to feel like that left eye is cut off from the bridge of his nose. It might seem like a minor detail, but eyes on a portrait are of paramount importance. Other than that, pure awesome.

Keep it up!

Points taken. Always seem to spot these things myself after the fact. Tricky trying to find short-hands in rendering something within a time limit. Always nice having goal, too :)
